Robert “Bob” Kabonero is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with over 25 years of executive experience across Uganda and East Africa. As Chairman of the Board at Sombha Solutions Store, Bob provides strategic leadership to guide the company’s vision of delivering cutting-edge ISP and ICT services that drive digital transformation in Uganda and the region.
Bob holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Oxford Brookes University and is recognized as a pioneer in East Africa’s telecommunications industry, having founded the first private telecommunications company in the region and Uganda’s first Internet Service Provider.
In addition to his role at Sombha, Bob has founded and directed numerous successful enterprises, including Veritas Investments Ltd., Jet Set Forex Bureau, White Showmans Ltd., and Interswitch (formerly Bankom). His extensive experience in sectors ranging from telecommunications and hospitality to finance and gaming underscores his commitment to innovation and economic growth.

Haruna Nyanzi Lule is a visionary leader in Uganda’s ICT sector with over 19 years of experience in telecommunications and IT. As the Founder and CEO of Sombha Solutions Store, Haruna has transformed the company into a leading ISP and ICT provider, recognized for delivering innovative solutions and bridging the digital divide across Uganda and East Africa.
Pioneering Connectivity and Infrastructure
Haruna led the design of Uganda’s first Fixed Wireless Open Access network and Cellular-Class Wi-Fi network, positioning Sombha at the forefront of regional connectivity innovation. His achievements include implementing a 2.5Gbps transmission capacity for Uganda Telecom and establishing Uganda’s first international private leased line for MONUSCO, addressing critical infrastructure gaps with transformative solutions.

Kenneth is a renowned legal expert specializing in sustainability, intellectual property (IP), and technology law, with expertise in digital trade, fintech, data protection, AI, and telecommunications. He is an award-winning advocate, author, and trainer, and lectures on IP at Uganda Christian University and Cyber Law at Makerere University. He holds leadership roles in the Uganda Law Society, East Africa Law Society, and the Financial Technology Service Providers Association of Uganda.
Kenneth has advised the Ugandan government on ICT integration in the judiciary and AI policy development. He represents Uganda at the Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution of the World Economic Forum and has contributed to the World Bank’s African Drone Forum. Additionally, he chairs various industry bodies, including the E-trade Association of Uganda and the Internet Service Providers Association of Uganda.
Recognized as a leading IP lawyer by the World Trademark Review Guide (2019-2024), Kenneth was named one of Uganda’s Top 40 under 40 in 2018 and 2021. His firm, KTA, was awarded Africa’s Intellectual Property Team of the Year in 2019, and Kenneth was named Africa’s Male Partner of the Year at the 2020 Africa Legal Awards.
Varsha Devnani is a distinguished business leader based in Kampala, Uganda, with over 15 years of experience in senior executive roles. As a Board Director at Sombha Solutions Store, Varsha plays a pivotal role in advancing digital accessibility and driving technological innovation across Uganda and East Africa. Her strategic vision and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in Sombha’s mission to deliver transformative connectivity solutions.
In addition to her role at Sombha, Varsha serves as the CEO and Director of White Showmans Group Uganda, a dynamic holding company with a diverse portfolio, and Jointven Trading Dubai, the exclusive distributor of Sonashi, a renowned high-quality home appliance brand. Suzan Mweheire Kitariko is a distinguished senior executive with over 14 years of experience in Uganda’s telecommunications and technology sectors. As a Director at Sombha Solutions Store, Suzan leverages her extensive expertise in strategic planning, operations management, and business transformation to support the company’s vision of delivering innovative ISP and ICT solutions.
